Holy Granola?

The other day I was at CUB, browsing through the organic foods section (which, I love, by the way. I feel healthy just walking through it.), looking for some good granola to try, when I saw this on the shelf:

“Ezekiel 4:9 Granola”. As the front of the box states, Ezekiel 4:9 reads”Take also unto thee Wheat and Barley and Beans and Lentils and Millet and Spelt and put them in one vessel and make bread of it…”.

My guess is that the manufacturers must think that this combination of grains and legumes, because they are listed in Ezekiel 4:9, must create some sort of super-snack.

My curiosity was piqued.

I wondered if eating it would somehow give me super-“spiritual”-energy, or if it would serve as brain-food to help me memorize Scripture better or something.

But it was over $5 a box, so I opted to trust the Holy Spirit instead. 🙂

  1. Cute. That brand of ‘stuff’ — they have bread, etc. is really nutritious! 🙂 It’s something about the way the grains are processed (or lack there of processing)……but yes, it’s a price shocker! 🙂 The bread is good, but if you get it, toast it first — it’s not good without a good burn!
